Ingredients

1 cup graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup mini marshmallows

1 cup chopped milk chocolate or chocolate bars (for topping)

Optional: extra graham cracker crumbs for topping

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.

Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Stir in the melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Bake the Crust: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until set. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.

Make the Fudge Layer: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Add Marshmallows: Fold in the mini marshmallows carefully, reserving a handful for later.

Pour Fudge Over Crust: Pour the fudge mixture over the baked graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly. Top with the remaining mini marshmallows and chopped chocolate or chocolate bars.

Bake Again: Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the marshmallows are puffy and slightly golden.

Cool and Chill: Allow the bars to cool at room temperature for about 20 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set fully.

Slice and Serve: Remove the fudge from the baking dish using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares or bars and serve. Enjoy your gooey, s'mores-inspired treat!
