Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta

1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

2 tbsp olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: Red pepper flakes (for additional heat)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine or penne and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Season the Chicken: In a bowl, toss the sliced chicken breast with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken strips and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the diced onion and cook for about 2-3 minutes, until translucent. Add minced garlic and sliced bell pepper, sautéing for an additional 2-3 minutes until the peppers soften.

Make the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream, smoked paprika, and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Everything: Return the sautéed chicken to the skillet with the sauce, stirring to coat the chicken evenly. Add the drained pasta and toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated in the creamy Cajun sauce.

Serve: Plate the spicy & creamy Cajun chicken pasta, garnish with fresh parsley, and sprinkle with additional red pepper flakes if you like it spicier.
