1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sriracha (or more, to taste)

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Garnish:

Fresh cilantro, chopped

Sesame seeds

Instructions

Prep the Meatballs:

    - In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, green onions, minced garlic, ground ginger, beaten egg, soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until fully incorporated.

      Shape the Meatballs:

        - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Using your hands, form the meat mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

          Bake the Meatballs:

            - Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown.

              Prepare the Glaze:

                - While the meatballs are baking, in a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.

                  Thicken the Glaze:

                    - Once boiling, reduce the heat and stir in the cornstarch slurry. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened.

                      Glaze the Meatballs:

                        - Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and toss them in the spicy pineapple glaze to coat them thoroughly.

                          Serve:

                            - Transfer the glazed meatballs to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped cilantro and sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy these meatballs with rice or as an appetizer!
