Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

6 strips of thick-cut bacon

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Salt, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. This will take about 8-10 minutes. Once done, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease. Once cooled, chop the bacon into small pieces and set aside.

Make the Glaze: In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, smoky paprika, and lemon juice until well combined.

Prep the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Season them lightly with salt and sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over each fillet.

Apply the Glaze: Generously brush the maple mixture over each salmon fillet, ensuring it's well-coated. Reserve a small amount of glaze for an additional baste later.

Bake the Salmon: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until it flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your liking.

Finish and Serve: In the last 3 minutes of baking, baste the salmon with the reserved glaze for added flavor and stickiness. Remove from the oven and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Serve: Enjoy your Sticky Maple Bacon Crusted Salmon with sides like roasted vegetables or a fresh salad!
