Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce (adjust for spice preference)

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prep the Chicken Wings: Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.

Marinate the Wings: In a large bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, fresh ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and chili garlic sauce. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top for even cooking.

Bake the Wings: Remove the chicken wings from the marinade (reserve the marinade for later). Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning once halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Prepare the Sauce: While the wings are baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, then lower the heat and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Glaze the Wings: Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven, and brush generously with the thickened sauce. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the wings for added crunch.

Final Bake: Return the glazed wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes to caramelize the sauce.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
