Ingredients

4 thick slices of brioche or challah bread

2 large eggs

1/2 cup milk (whole or your choice)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon sugar (optional, adjust based on your sweetness preference)

A pinch of salt

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for cream cheese filling)

Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries, for garnish)

Maple syrup (for serving)

Butter (for frying)

Instructions

Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Set aside.

Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, sugar (if using), and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Stuff the Bread: Take one slice of bread and spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture on one side. Top with another slice of bread to create a sandwich. Repeat with the remaining slices.

Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet or griddle, melt a tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once melted and bubbling, reduce the heat to medium-low.

Dip the Sandwiches: Carefully dip each stuffed sandwich into the egg mixture, allowing them to soak for a few seconds on each side. Ensure they are well-coated but not falling apart.

Cook the French Toast: Place the soaked sandwiches in the hot skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown, then carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side, adding more butter if needed for a golden crust.

Serve: Once the French toast is cooked through and golden brown, remove from the skillet. Dust with powdered sugar and serve hot with fresh berries and a generous drizzle of maple syrup.

                Enjoy your delicious creation!
