Ingredients

2 racks of baby back ribs

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 cup peach preserves

½ cup apple cider vinegar

½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)

1 tablespoon sriracha (for extra heat, optional)

Fresh peach slices (for garnish)

Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Prepare the Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness. Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Spice Rub: In a small bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.

Wrap the Ribs: Place the seasoned ribs on a large sheet of aluminum foil and wrap them tightly. This steaming method will help keep the ribs moist.

Bake the Ribs: Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender and the meat is pulling away from the bones.

Prepare the BBQ Sauce: While the ribs are baking, in a saucepan over medium heat, combine the peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, BBQ sauce, and sriracha (if using). Stir well and let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes until thickened slightly.

Glaze the Ribs: Once the ribs are done baking, carefully unwrap them (watch out for the steam!). Brush a generous amount of the peach BBQ sauce over the ribs on both sides.

Caramelize on the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (or turn on your broiler). Transfer the glazed ribs to the grill and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sauce gets caramelized and slightly charred.

Serve: Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice between the bones and serve with extra peach BBQ sauce on the side. Garnish with fresh peach slices and cilantro for a fresh touch.

Enjoy! Dig in and enjoy your Sweet Heat Peach BBQ Ribs that balance sweetness and heat perfectly!
