Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup and crispier fries.

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes: Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Cut them into thin, even-sized fries about ¼ inch thick to ensure uniform cooking.

Season the Fries: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cut sweet potatoes with olive oil, sea salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Toss well to ensure all the fries are evenly coated.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the sweet potato fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure not to overcrowd them. This helps them bake evenly and become crispy.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes. Halfway through, at around the 15-minute mark, flip the fries to ensure they get golden and crispy on both sides.

Check for Doneness: The fries are done when they are crispy and have a slight caramelization. You may want to cook them a bit longer for extra crispiness.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
