½ cup brown sugar, packed

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2-3 tablespoons milk (as needed for consistency)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Make the Cookie Dough: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and sour cream, mixing until fully incorporated.

      Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

        Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon for the filling. Then, mix in the softened butter until it forms a paste.
